It started as a seed….
Was it a gesture followed by piercing eyes?
Was it a joke followed by “I’m just joking” ?
Was it an unwanted touch followed by “It’s our secret”?
Was it the hurtful conversation followed by the unapologetic apology?
Was it the deceitful affair followed by “It didn’t mean anything”?
Was it growing up with a parent who had daddy and mommy issues followed by “Do as I say and not as I do”?
Was it an untimely death of a loved one followed by unanswered questions and a feeling of loneliness?
Was it being passed over for a job followed by you being required to train the person who was hired?
Was it the family secret you were forced to keep followed by the whispers in the community?
Unresolved emotions fertilizes the seed!
Forced to be a puppet to ensure those around us are comfortable
Refusing to seek HELP fertilizes the seed!
Ignoring the plea from God “Come to me all you are heavy burden and He will give us rest!”
Unwilling to forgive fertilizes the seed!
Reciprocating the same behaviors in other relationships
Conditioned to the environment fertilizes the seed!
Bitterness yields emptiness, self-hate, loneliness and a lack of empathy.
The TIME is NOW to PURGE the SEED!!!
I really enjoyed this cousin. It makes you think about were you stand.

While doing some self reflecting, I realize how we allow bitterness to rob us of life. I’m no longer willing to be held hostage by my past.

Love how you were able to compare this to a seed being fertilized. It is absolutely 100% true. Fear is what keeps us in those dark places. The sooner you realize that the forgiveness is for you, the sooner you will learn your lesson, move on and heal those dark places. Fear keeps you there. Love shines the light…love for yourself makes you the light! Very thought provoking, 100% truth!!

Amen! We all must take ownership in our happiness. One of the ways is refusing to allow the fear to keep us in a dark place.
