The CRUTCH

It was intended to be around for a brief moment

A balance mechanism in order to help distribute the weight being carried

It was only supposed to be temporary yet it became what seemed like forever.

A vice for survival.

Holding on so tight

Trust drowning into an abyss of non existence

Unable to float

Gasping to breathe

Fighting for oxygen

Amnesia was the diagnosis

Had you forgotten you were born with a measure of faith and created in the image of the Almighty?

Blindness was the diagnosis

Had sight yet no vision; unable to see the essence of Who You Are and Whose you are?

Why was it so easy to forget to STAND on His Word; WALK in Boldness and FLY above all negativity?

Had being comfortable with being uncomfortable become your new normalcy?

Aww I think NOT!!!

Then it happened!

Your epiphany!

The awakening of your manifested destiny.

No longer impaired by a false sense of security.

You now Walk with Authority In Your Divine Purpose!

    1. Thank you so much. Going through this pandemic has allowed me lots of opportunities to self evaluate and to discover my crutches. Some were easy to let go others are challenging.

  5. Sis this has such a deep message that most will not get but those who do will be blessed by it. Way to often we get comfortable in a temporary situation that we forget to walk through it and into what is meant for us. Love you sis !!

  7. Oh, the crutch! The problem is we hold on to the crutch so long that it becomes a part of us. A habit that becomes such a part of us that we use it to identify ourselves or describe ourselves. The crutch then becomes a liability, a dependent. If we do it right, the crutch can help us grow and/or strengthen us. “God deliver me”.
