A Mother’s View

“I will forever carry you in my heart”

As a mom carrying life you dream good dreams of a life worth living.

Yet you see the life of your babies being minimized based on the pigmentation of their skin.

Our children names are becoming synonymous to hashtags instead of for the GREATNESS woven into the fiber of their being.

As a mom you sow fundamental values into your heart string believing in spite of our past their future will be brighter.

Yet we are bamboozled by a system that fuels systemic racism.

The images on our local and national platforms are scenes of hatred on continuous playback.

The names may change but the scenarios remain the same.

Domino Effect

As moms we have this extraordinary ability to diagnosis and prescribe a prescription based on the cry of our children

We have determined we will not be silent to the justified injustice waging a war on our future.

  1. Another great post! A mother’s love is so undeniable if done right. I feel this for my own child, but there are plenty of children who do not know the depth of love you are speaking of. Those children are often victimized or taken advantage of in some way, shape or form. Let’s continue to love on our children and give them the love that they need to feel secure enough to live a great life.

    1. It’s unfortunate some people may never experience their mother’s love. In a ideal world, I would imagine if most people who have had this experience maybe society would be different. All of us who have children should continue to love on their kids. Remember children are gift from God.

    1. Thank you so much son. Each day as I watch the news or browse social media, my heart breaks because of the devastation I see as to how young black men and women are being mistreated. It becomes personal because I think about it could’ve been my kids (biological, bonus and kids from another mother). You know I send all of you text messages everyday because I want you to remember that I love you, I fight for you, I pray for you and I think of you.
