The Child Inside

I tried my best to protect you even at the cost of losing myself

I tried my best to protect and keep you hidden from this cruel world because I wasn’t protected.

Those who were created to keep me safe did their best but were handicapped by their inability to navigate their own life .

Generational Curses!

Hey little child inside of me!

Your desire for me not to grow up. At times, caused interference as it pertained to my growth and stability.

You weaken my insides because your merciless grip jeopardized my ability to be emotionally connected.

Hey little child inside of me!

My responsibilities have changed but my fear of being abandoned continued to hold me hostage. It made me susceptible to accepting less than when I was worth so much more.

I was visibly invisible!

Hey little child inside of me!

My dreams of being Cinderella only existed in a fairytale book and it caused me to be stuck in the chapter of the hated stepdaughter. Thank God for the godmothers and sisters who stepped in and up!

Honestly, all I ever wanted was to be loved and loved unconditional by man but man always has conditions.

Hey little child inside of me.

The temper tantrums you threw only garnered the attention of those who added no value. I was a one man circus with free admittance.

GAWKERS! SPECTATORS! BYSTANDERS! Come One & Come All!

Hey little child inside of me!

You see the child in us will show up in the areas of our lives where we are wounded. The only way to protect the child in you is to deal with and heal the wound that has inflicted you.

After the death of my mother, my passion to write was ignited. It became an encouraging force to others as well as my therapy. Through my healing journey Visionfyah blog was birthed. My vision statement is to be a light in the darkness for the broken, hurting and lonely people unable to deal with life on life’s terms, and to be a voice for those who cannot be heard. Visionfyah is a platform to express thought provoking thoughts and perspectives.

  1. When I think about “inner child” two words come to mind; Nurture and Love. Often our inner child needs love and reassurance. Speaking this way to ourselves, our inner child can help soothe negative feelings and create the feelings of safety we lacked.

When is the book coming? I love the pieces that you share ❤️

  3. The “inner child” is in each of us, impacting our lives into adulthood. Some have an understanding and many do not. The “child” cries, internalizes, or acts out because of physical, mental /emotional damage. No one seems to understand or have the insight of the unspoken issue. Speak my child. Keep speaking.❤️

  6. That inner child goes through so much, experiencing things that they sometimes should never have to. Thank God for his grace and mercy to get us through.
